On March 2nd and 3rd, 2026, the time has come again: Laracon EU opens its doors – this time in the impressive Passenger Terminal Amsterdam directly on the IJ. For us at mindtwo, this is one of the most important events on the calendar, and we are excited to be on site this year with a team of six.
Why are we traveling with so many colleagues? Because Laracon EU is far more than a conference with presentations. It is the place where the European Laravel community meets, ideas emerge, and professional exchange takes place on equal footing. We want to not only consume this, but actively help shape it.
Why Laracon EU is a must-attend for us
Laravel is not a trend for us, but the technological foundation of our daily work. For years, we have consistently relied on the framework when developing custom web applications – from complex platforms and portal solutions to powerful content management systems. Our Laravel expertise is deeply embedded in our way of working: in our coding standards, our architectural decisions, and the way we structure projects.
Laracon EU offers the rare opportunity to learn directly from the people who shape the ecosystem – and at the same time to engage in conversation with other developers, agencies, and companies solving similar challenges.
The Program: Talks we're particularly looking forward to
This year's Laracon EU lineup is top-notch and covers a broad spectrum – from framework internals to frontend strategies, AI integration, and real-world project experiences. Some highlights we're particularly keeping an eye on:
Day 1 – March 2nd, 2026
- Taylor Otwell – Laravel Update: The annual update directly from the framework's founder. For everyone working with Laravel, this is the most important keynote of the year. We're curious to see what new features and directions Laravel will take.
- Dan Harrin – Write better abstractions: lessons from an import system: Dan is co-creator of Filament – an admin panel framework that we also use in numerous projects. As we continuously deepen our Filament expertise, his talk on clean abstractions will surely be inspiring.
- Tobias Petry – One billion rows with Laravel: Database performance is a critical factor for growing applications. How Laravel can handle one billion records is highly relevant for scalable software architecture.
- Ryan Chandler – Handling the unhappy path: Error handling and edge cases are often more complex in practice than the actual business logic. A topic that is constantly present in everyday project work.
- Nils Adermann – Composer Deep Dive: As co-founder of Private Packagist, Nils brings deep knowledge about dependency management in PHP – a tool we use daily but rarely understand as thoroughly as we should.
- Yannick Kupferschmidt – AI won't fail loudly — It'll fail quietly: An exciting perspective on the silent error-proneness of AI integrations – a topic that is becoming increasingly relevant as AI use in web applications grows.
Day 2 – March 3rd, 2026
- Joe Tannenbaum – State of the Frontend: The frontend landscape in the Laravel ecosystem is evolving rapidly. From Livewire to Inertia.js to new approaches – we're eager for a current assessment.
- Marcel Pociot – Refactoring to Parallel: Marcel, as CTO of BeyondCode, is a fixture in the community. Parallelization in PHP is a topic that can enable significant performance gains for compute-intensive processes.
- Simon Hamp & Shane Rosenthal – NativePHP: Two talks on NativePHP – the project that makes it possible to build native desktop and mobile apps with PHP and Laravel. A fascinating development that we're closely following.
- Nina Karisik – Butterfly effect: orchestrating freedom with AI: AI orchestration in software projects – a topic that shows how development workflows are changing through intelligent automation.
- Pete Heslop – How real-world UX helps your projects thrive: The connection between UX and technical implementation is a topic that is naturally close to our hearts as an agency with a strong web development and design focus.
Six heads, many perspectives – our team on site
We are deliberately traveling to Amsterdam with six colleagues. Not because it's a nice team outing – although it is that too, of course – but because different perspectives pick up different impulses. Our developers each bring their own focuses and questions: from architectural decisions to frontend strategies, DevOps, and deployment processes.
This way, we ensure that we cover the conference's broad range of topics as comprehensively as possible and can directly incorporate the insights gained into our projects and processes.
Let's talk
This is not a polite claim – we mean it seriously. If you're at Laracon EU and want to discuss Laravel projects, architectural approaches, team structures, CMS strategies, or simply good software: Talk to us. We'll be there all day – during breaks, at lunch, at social drinks in the evening, and of course at the After-Dark Party at Lowlander Botanical Bar.
Whether you're planning a project, want to solve a technical challenge, or simply want to know how we approach certain things – we welcome every exchange. Experience shows that the best conversations at conferences happen between talks.
You'll recognize us by the mindtwo spirit (and if needed, simply search for mindtwo on LinkedIn or X). Or even easier: Contact us in advance if you'd like to plan a conversation on site – we're happy to take the time.
What particularly drives us thematically
Some questions and topics we especially want to explore at this year's Laracon EU:
- Scaling Laravel applications: How can complex platforms be operated with Laravel in a performant and maintainable way long-term? Which architectural patterns prove themselves in practice?
- AI integration in existing applications: Where does AI provide real added value – and where lurks the risk of silent errors, as Yannick Kupferschmidt puts it?
- Frontend strategies in the Laravel ecosystem: Livewire, Inertia.js, Vue.js, Alpine.js – the options are diverse. What fits when, and how is the field evolving?
- NativePHP and the future of PHP beyond the browser: Can PHP knowledge be used for desktop and mobile development, and what does that mean for full-stack teams?
- Developer Experience and code quality: From better abstractions to effective code reviews to parallelization – how do we build software that not only works but remains good long-term?
During the conference: Live impressions
This section will be continuously updated during Laracon EU 2026 on March 2nd and 3rd. We'll share our impressions, highlights, and key takeaways directly from on site here.
More soon – stay tuned.
Recap: Our most important insights
After the conference, we'll summarize here what we're taking away: The most exciting talks, the most important innovations in the Laravel ecosystem, and what that means for our work and future projects.
Will be added after March 3rd, 2026.
See you soon in Amsterdam
Laracon EU 2026 promises to be two intensive days full of knowledge transfer, community spirit, and technical inspiration. We're looking forward to Amsterdam, to the talks – and especially to the conversations with you.
Anyone interested in exchanging ideas before, during, or after the conference: We're open, curious, and always interested in a good technical conversation. Whether it's about Laravel projects, API development, scalable platforms, or the future of modern web architecture – we look forward to the dialogue.
See you next week, Amsterdam. 🇳🇱
